our mission
speech point exists to Provide expert speech therapy to children with Autism or Complex Communication Needs
behaviorally based, evidence-driven speech therapy designed for real progress.Speech Point exists for individuals with autism and complex communication needs who are too often told they are “too severe” or “not a good fit” for services.
We were founded on the belief that complexity is not a reason to exclude someone — it is a call to become more skilled, more prepared, and more courageous as clinicians. We do not turn people away because their needs are intense, their behaviors are challenging, or their communication looks different.
Instead, we choose to pursue advanced training, uphold rigorous clinical standards, and continually grow our expertise so we can serve each individual with excellence.
Our practice is built on behaviorally based, research-driven speech therapy that integrates speech-language pathology and applied behavior analysis. Every treatment plan is individualized, data-informed, and designed to support meaningful progress across home, school, and community settings.
At Speech Point, this work is deeply intentional. We serve individuals others may not know how — or may not be willing — to serve, and we remain committed to walking alongside families with skill, integrity, and purpose.
Meet our founder
A Leader in Complex Communication CareDually Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP)
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Apraxia Specialist
Andréane Gaulin, M.Sc., CCC-SLP, BCBA, is the Founder and CEO of Speech Point and a leading clinician specializing in autism, apraxia, AAC, and complex communication disorders.
She holds a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Université Laval and is dually certified as a Speech-Language Pathologist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst—an uncommon combination that allows her to integrate language science and behavioral intervention for stronger clinical outcomes.
Early in her career, Andréane recognized that many children with autism were not making meaningful progress with traditional therapy. Determined to change that, she developed a behaviorally based, evidence-driven approach that now serves as the foundation of Speech Point’s clinical model.
In 2018, she completed advanced intensive training in Childhood Apraxia of Speech and earned recognition from Apraxia Kids for Advanced Training and Expertise. She continues to pursue ongoing education in AAC and complex language intervention to ensure the highest standards of care.
Families trust Andréane for her clinical precision, transparency, and unwavering commitment to helping individuals with complex needs achieve meaningful communication.
