Fine Motor Skills
Fine motor skills involve the use of the smaller muscle of the hands. These skills are needed throughout the day at home and at school. They are involved in daily activities such as writing, drawing, cutting, buttoning, opening zippers, and building with legos.
Gross Motor Skills
Gross motor skills involve movements of the large muscles of the arms, legs and torso.
Kids who struggle with gross motor skills may have a hard time running, pedaling a bike or climbing the jungle gym.
Self Help Skills
Self care skills are activities that kids are doing in their every day routines. They include getting dressed, eating with utensils, brushing teeth, or going to the bathroom independently.
